The information below will help you to answer questions about the standard and special conditions an AP&P agent may apply to your probation.
Once a defendant is sentenced to probation, they will be directed to check in with the secretary at AP&P within 24 to 48 hours. If for some reason, a defendant does not check in within the given time range, a warrant will be issued for their arrest.
If you have questions regarding AP&P, we have defined what an agent does and how they are here to help you.
Adult probation and parole agents are specially trained officers under the direction of The Utah Department of Corrections. Utah AP&P agents are assigned by case load to supervise and rehabilitate offenders not to commit crimes. Probationers are held to a higher set of standards to ensure criminal behavior change.
Please keep in mind these agents are here to help you succeed and will answer any questions you may have about your specific case.
Adult Probation and Parole conditions will be decided by your assigned agent. Defendants can be sentenced to probation for 6 to 36 months, but most probationers are on probation no less than 12 months. If a defendant has any further questions about probation they may contact the probation agency at the link below.

When a defendant is sentenced to probation there is a $30 monthly supervision fee. If you are unable to afford the supervision fees, please speak to your AP&P agent and they may be able to get these fees waived.
